The access to the gardens is provided from Valdštejnská Street via the Kolowrat Courtyard. The upper entrance from the Prague Castle is closed until further notice.

  • From the underground ("Metro") station Malostranská go to Valdštejnská Street. After 200 meters, enter the garden through the iron gate on the right side.
  • From Malostranské Square ("náměstí") go to Tomášská Street, under the archway of the Sternberg Palace. The sidewalk bears right. Pass along the Ledebour Palace (the headquarters of the National Heritage Institute, "NPÚ"), the National Education Museum, Komenský Library and Pálffy Palace, to reach the entrance to the gardens.

Parking

The paid parking lot at Valdštejnské Square is available (about two-minute walk from the main entrance in Valdštejnská Street).

Accessibility

We're sorry, but the gardens aren’t wheelchair-accessible. Due to numerous staircases, please be advised that the access to the area requires a certain level of fitness.

Pets

For the protection of plants and trees, pets (especially dogs) are not allowed. Thank you for understanding.

Cyclists

Cycling is not possible, due to the terrain.

Refreshments are provided only at special events.
